Following Someone from an Airport

Surveillance, or simply put, following someone around, in the domestic world is usually conducted by a single investigator.  As opposed to the Federal or police operation who can have up to 8 people in a team following one individual.  Unfortunately, due to cost in the private world this generally isn’t a luxury most people can afford.

However, when it comes to following someone from an airport, domestic or international it is virtually impossible to follow an individual or group arriving with one agent.   In this case, a minimum of two people is required.

The complexities of an airport pickup are mainly to do with how the person leaves the airport. There are many ways they can exit such as;

– Being picked up by a private vehicle at the pickup area. Sometimes there are multiple pickup areas.

– Being picked up by a Taxi

– Being picked up by an uber or equivalent, generally in the private pickup area.

– Public transport via bus or train

It takes two agents to follow them out. One agent needs to be in the terminal to watch them exit from the plane or in the case of international flights, watch them exit from the assigned gate. The second agent needs to be waiting in a car on the outskirts of the airport and in constant contact with the inside agent.

In the case of a person getting a taxi, the inside agent will generally jump in a taxi behind the departing person while updating the outside agent of the taxi details.  This enables them to follow them when they drive past.

In the case of a private car, the inside agent will film who they are being picked up by and record the vehicle details while passing them on to the outside agent who will follow them once they drive past.  The same situation applies with Ubers or similar services.

If the person is getting a train we can use one agent, however this must be solid information.  If the plan changes slightly then we will certainly lose contact.

Whatever the situation we can handle it with our experienced agents.  If you have someone arriving at the airport give us a call to discuss your situation so we can help you get the information you need.
